Vintage Pepi maxi dress featuring hand painted leaf motif. Hand painted and Made in Greece. Full sleeves are gathered with elastic at the wrists. The neckline is cording allowing for off the shoulder or closer gathering of fabric as styling options. The green fabric belt snaps to accentuate the waist or perhaps can be pinned as a head scarf. A little information about the designers: two Greek painters created the Pepi line of dresses in the 1960s. Their business crafting hand painted dresses started in Greece and grew after carrying samples in a suitcase to the USA. They eventually earned fashion awards in Paris while dressing royalty.
